This page explains exactly how that works, because you are entitled to know before you click anything.
The short version
Some links to products on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale. You pay the same price you would have paid without us.
A commission never changes a score, a ranking, or a recommendation. Our method is set out on the How We Test page, and commission rates are not one of the criteria.

How to tell
Affiliate links on this site are marked in three ways:
- A disclosure line appears above the site header on every page.
- Buy buttons and product links carry the rel=”sponsored nofollow” attribute, which is the standard machine-readable declaration.
- Where a section exists mainly to point you at a purchase, it is labelled as such.
If you would rather not use our links, search for the product directly. It costs you nothing either way, and the article stays the same.
Why we do it this way
Affiliate revenue lets this site stay free to read, and lets us buy equipment with our own money rather than accepting loaner units on a manufacturer’s terms. That independence is the whole point. It only works if you can trust the disclosure, which is why it sits on this page in plain language rather than in a footer nobody reads.
